Create a Simple Text Effect - Graphic Design Education

Tutorial : How to Create a 3D Smoke Text Effect - Graphic Design Education
Step 1 : Take a new document in the photoshop

At First we need to take a new page for creating easy gel text effect.

Click File > new set the values showing below

Width: 600 px;

Height: 500 px;

Resolution: 72 pixels/inch;

Contents: white;

After set all the values click OK.

Now fill this new document with Black Color.

Step 2: Choose Type tool and Add  your Text

In this steps we add a text. Here we use "Graphic Design", if you want you can use your name or other text what you want. Select Horizontal Type Tool (T) from the tools box in the left side. Now go up to option bar and Select Arial Black font, Bold, 60pt font size and White Color from color picker.

Step 3 : Re-size the Text "Graphic Design"

This steps we expand or re-size our text "Graphic Design"

Select the text layer (Graphic Design) from the layer palette then go Edit menu and click Free Transform or keyboard command is Ctrl + T and re-size the text or expand the text "Graphic Design" as your wish.

After complete re-size press Enter.

Step 4 : Now Apply Layer Style on the Graphic Design Layer

This step we add layer style Drop shadow ,inner shadow, inner Glor, Gradient Overlay on the Graphic Design Layer. Go to Layer>Layer style>Blending Options for apply layer style effect on this Graphic Design Layer. Now select Drop shadow and set some Drop shadow options.

Blend mode: Normal, Color: #0d6fd6

Opacity: 42

Angle: 90 

Distance: 4 

Size: 0 and others options is right.

After set Drop shadow, we are setting inner shadow. So click color overlay and set some inner shadow options.

Blend mode: Color Dodge, Color: White

Opacity: 52

Angle: 90 

Distance: 1

Size: 0 and others options is right.

After set inner shadow, we are setting inner glow. So click inner glow and set some inner glow options.

Blend mode: Normal, 

Opacity: 100

Color: #de00ff

Source: Center

Size: 13

After set inner glow, we are setting Color Overlay. So click Color Overlay and set some Color Overlay options.

Blend mode: Normal, Color: #0d6fd6

Opacity: 100 and others options is right.

After set inner glow, we are setting Gradient Overlay. So click Gradient Overlay and set some Gradient Overlay options.

Blend mode: Linear Burn

Opacity: 58

Angle: 90 and others options is right.
