Using clipping mask place an image in the text - Psd Tuts

Using clipping mask place an image in the text with Photoshop tutorials is very attractive and awesome tuts for new or beginner Photoshop learners. This text effects tutorial is very easy. We try to present this tutorial more easily. Now we start how to place an image in text.




Application : Adobe Photoshop Cs
Difficulty : Beginner or New to Photoshop
Complication Time : 15 minute


Using clipping mask place an image in the text - Psd Tuts | Learn Psd

Step 1 : Open an image or wallpaper
We need an image or wallpaper to place inside of our text. I am using here a natural wallpaper. You can save this wallpaper or take any image as your wish to complete this tutorial  OK now open an image or wallpaper in Photoshop.


Step 2 : Duplicate Background Layer
Here we can see an image and one layer, which name is Background.
Now we have to copy our background layer.
So go to layer palette right click on the background layer, a menu will open then click Duplicate layer, a window will come then click OK.
Now you can see a Background copy layer in the layer palette. Just like below.



Step 3 : Add a new layer between background and background copy layers


Click Layer menu > NewOK 
Or
Click create new layer icon at the bottom of the Layers palette and move this layer for placing below the background copy layer. Now we have a new layer name Layer 1 just like following this image.



Step 4 : Fill the Layer 1
Now we need to fill the Layer 1 one with white color
Go to Edit > Fill > Select white from content option > OK.




 Step 5: Add a Text like LEARN PSD
In this steps we add a text. Here we use "LEARN PSD", if you want you can use your name or other text what you want.
Now select Background copy layer from layer palette.
Select the type tool from the tools box 


Select Arial Black font from option bar
Click the Foreground Color icon from the tools box and Set White As Foreground color then click OK.

Now Click into the our main image or wallpaper and type LEARN PSD.

Step 6 : Re-size the Text "LEARN PSD"
This steps we expand or re-size our text "LEARN PSD"
Select the text layer (LEARN PSD) from the layer palette then go Edit menu and click Free Transform or keyboard command is Ctrl + T and re-size the text or expand the text "LEARN PSD" as your wish.
After complete re-size press Enter.


Step 7 : Move The Text Layer Below "Background copy" layer
Click on the text layer (LEARN PSD), then simply drag it down below "Background copy" layer.


Step 8 : Apply clipping mask
Select the "Background copy" layer again, then 
Go Layer > Create clipping mask 
and you will see the out put below 



Step 9 : Add some shadow - Final step
Select the text layer "LEARN PSD" again, then 
Go Layer > Layer Style > Drop Shadow a window will come


Set the values below
Blend Mode : Multiply
Opacity : 80%
Angle : -45
Distance : 5 px
Spread : 0 %
Size : 5 px
click OK.
Then we will see our final image or out put just like below
