Make a Fire Effect in Photoshop - Learn Psd

Make a Fire Effect - Photoshop Tutorials | Learn Psd

Step 1 : Open an image or your photo
For complete this psd tuts we need to open and image. We use here a girls face image, if you want you can use this photo or your own photo or as your wish.



Step 2 : Apply Hue/Saturation
Go Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation a window will come like below.


Check the Colorize option. Set the Hue: 200, Saturation: 33 and Lightness: 3 then click OK and you will see your image turn into like below.



Step 3 : Duplicate Layer and add some Blur
Press Ctrl+J form keyboard and you will see a new layer created then
Go Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur
Ste the Radius: 1.6 then click OK.


Now set the blending mode Overlay from the layer palette



 Step 4 : Merge layer again duplicate layer then apply motion blur
Press Ctrl+E for merge two layer into one.
Then,
Press Ctrl+J for duplicate layer again.
Now add some motion blur from Filter > Blur > Motion Blur
Set the Angle:90, Distance:55 Click OK.


Then you will see the image turn into like image below


Now set the blending mode Overlay again and press Ctrl+E again for merge tow layer together.


Then image turn into like this

Step 5 : Take a new layer and fill it with white 
Press Shift + Ctr l + N for creating a new layer or click the "create a new layer" icon form the layer palette.
Now click Edit menu go Fill and window will come set the Use:White then click OK.


Now set the blending mode Overlay again form the layer palette.


Step 6 : Set Foreground color deep blue and Background color white
Click the set foreground color icon form the tools box and set the color is deep blue. color code is #000099.
Click the set background color icon from the tools box and set the color is white. color code is #ffffff.


Step 7 : Take another new layer and fill in deep blue
Press Shift+Ctr l+N for creating a another new layer or click the "create a new layericon form the layer palette, then you will see created a new layer named Layer 2.


Now click into Layer 2 then go Edit > Fill and set the Use: Foreground Color Click OK.


Now Go Filter > Render > Clouds and you will see the image below


Set the blending mode Overlay again form the layer palette and see the output below



Step 8 : Take a new layer and fill it white again 
Press Shift+Ctr l+N for creating a another new layer or click the "create a new layericon form the layer palette, then you will see created a new layer named Layer 3.
Now click Edit menu go Fill and window will come set the Use:White then click OK.


Now set the blending mode Difference form the layer palette.


Then see the image like below

Step 9 : Final Steps
This is the last step on this tutorials. Now we need to copy Background layer.
Click into Background layer form layer palette.
Go Layer > Duplicate Layer a window will come click OK.


Now we have to move this Background copy layer.
So drag the Background copy layer and set it below the Layer 3. just like image below


When you complete this finally you will see the image what you wanted I mean you get the fire effect.
