Create easy gel text effect in Photoshop-Graphic Design Education

Actually we have some tutorial about Text effect, Photo effect, Background,Web Button, Web Template, Logo Design Tutorials in Graphic Design Education of Photoshop. We will try to give effective tutorial for new or beginner level Photoshop learner in the Graphic Design Education Classes.
But that is very hard for time maintain. If i want to create a good tutorial, i need 5-6 hours time, so that is very hard for me. It is very easy and effective tutorial in the Graphic Design Education Classes tutorial. So Let's go start our tutorial How to Create easy gel text effect in Photoshop- Graphic Design Education Classes.

Step 1 : Take a new page

At First we need to take a new page for creating easy gel text effect.

Click File > new set the values showing below

Width: 800 px;

Height: 600 px;

Resolution: 72 pixels/inch;

Contents: white;

After set all the values click OK.

Step 2: Choose Type tool and select a color

 In this steps we add a text. Here we use "Learn", if you want you can use your name or other text what you want. Select Horizontal Type Tool (T) from the tools box in the left side. Now go up to option bar and Select Rockwell Extra Bold font, Bold, 60pt font size and White Color from color picker.

Step 3: Write your text

I’m going to type the word “Learn” for creating gel text effect.

Step 4: Re-size the text if needed

If  you want to re-size the text size just go to Edit > Free Transform and transform this text as your wise.

Step 5: Now we use Layer Style

Go to Layer > Layer Style > Drop Shadow.

Then choose color from the blend mode color picker. I choose the color # 89acc4, But you can choose any color and press OK.

Then you click Inner Shadow and choose any color or # 6cb1e1 and press OK.

Now you click Outer Glow and choose any color or 61a2e4 and press ok

Now i am going to change some outer glow option

Opacity-60%

Spread -15%

size -10px

Now you can Apply Inner Glow Layer Style. Click Inner Glow and select color 999ab0. Now change Blend mode screen to Multiply.

Now i am going to change some Inner glow option

Opacity-50%

Chock -10%

size -13px

Step 6: Now you can Apply Bevel and Emboss Layer Style.

Now you can Apply Bevel and Emboss Layer Style. Click Bevel and Emboss change some Bevel and Emboss option size -16px

Angle -90°

Altitude-75°

Now we choose Gloss Contour options, click on the down-pointing arrow to the right of the Contour preview thumbnail, then click on the Half Round option to select it (it’s the first one on the left, bottom row):

Step 7: Apply Satin Layer Style

Click Satin choose color 523f3f and change satin option

Angle -75°

Distance-45px

size -60°

Now your image is like this image..........

Step 7: click the New Style and save this style

Now click the New Style button on the right side and save it any name like Gel effect. write name box Gel effect and press ok button.

I already have the word “Learn” entered into my document window, I’m going to Type tool type "Psd" this time. You can also use the Free Transform command to resize it as your wise.

Right now, the word "Psd" is using nothing more than the original text color, but I want it to have the same "gel effect" I created with the word "Psd". I could go through all the steps again and re-create the layer style, but thankfully, I don’t have to because I was smart enough to save the effect as a new style. Where can I find the style? It’s in Photoshop’s Styles palette, located at the very bottom:

 To apply it to my text, all I have to do is make sure I have the “Psd” text layer selected in the Layers palette, and then click on the “Gel effect” style in the Styles palette. The effect is instantly added to the text:
